Christopher’s Reason is an OASAS-licensed substance use disorder treatment facility providing outpatient treatment and recovery support services. Our Recovery Living Center provides a structured, safe, and supportive environment for clients working toward recovery.

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, compassionate, and self-motivated Certified Recovery Peer Advocate with experience or familiarity in the addiction recovery field. The ideal candidate will serve as a positive role model while providing support, structure, and encouragement to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide peer recovery support, encouragement, and accountability.
Maintain a safe, structured, and substance-free environment.
Build supportive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Support clients with schedules, treatment attendance, appointments, meetings, and recovery activities.
Monitor client activities and communicate concerns or changes in behavior to appropriate staff.
Complete required shift notes, snapshots, group sheets, and other documentation accurately and timely.
Assist with recovery groups, life-skills activities, transportation, and community resources as assigned.
Use appropriate de-escalation techniques and report safety or behavioral concerns promptly.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision, trainings, and case conferences as required.
Follow OASAS regulations, Christopher’s Reason policies, confidentiality requirements, and safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) or CRPA-Provisional (CRPA-P).
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Experience in addiction recovery or a related field preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish rapport while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
