Christopher’s Reason is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team and support our Recovery Community Living program. We are committed to providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for individuals in recovery and nutritious, well-prepared meals are an essential part of that care. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, and experienced in food preparation and kitchen operations. This position requires preparing meals day for 20–25 residents while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization in the kitchen. The position is part-time and salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion meals according to facility needs and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, food prep area, and dining space.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and handling protocols.
- Receive, stock, and organize food supplies.
- Assist with meal planning and basic kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with staff to meet client needs.
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and kitchen organization.
- Communicate any concerns regarding food inventory, client needs, or safety issues.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a cook or food preparer required.
- Food Handler’s Certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be reliable, professional, and able to maintain a positive environment.
- Experience working in a residential or behavioral health setting is a plus.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness, follow instructions, and manage time effectively.
